Camp Traditions

Mondays kick off with group bonding and big camp energy. Campers start the week in their camp group and create a group name, banner, and cheer inspired by the theme of the week. Wild West Week might bring out names like “The Cactus Crew”. At the end of the day, every group performs and one group earns the legendary Spirit Stick for the week, along with prizes, bragging rights, and serious camp pride.
Who’s got the Whoozit?! Introduced at our famous Monday Opening Circle, the Whoozit is a sneaky camp tradition that travels around all day. Counselors secretly place it on shoes, backpacks, or water bottles. No one wants to be the last one holding it. Whoever ends the day with the Whoozit gets an unforgettable “aha!” whipped cream pie to the face, while the entire camp chants and cheers. Pure Kids Klub chaos and laughter.
Hot summer days call for the perfect cool down. Every camper enjoys a cold, colorful Otter Pop at the end of each day. It is the sweetest way to wrap up camp and a daily tradition campers look forward to. Otter Pops for everyone, every single day.
You will see Hobby Hour on the weekly schedule and it is always a favorite. Counselors share a hobby they love, from baseball card collecting and Spanish to creative writing, art, and more. Campers choose a hobby, dive in, and enjoy learning something new in a relaxed, fun way with their counselor.
Is it even camp without dress up days?! From aliens during Space Week to superheroes showing off their capes, campers love going all in. We host parades, give prizes, and celebrate creativity all week long. Heads up! Dress Up Day is Thursday for Teens and Mountaineers and Friday for Pioneers. Check the schedule and come ready to shine.
Fridays are all about celebrating every camper. After a week of bonding, we end camp with a fun awards ceremony where everyone receives an award. From Best LEGO Tower Builder to Future Famous Comedian, each camper is recognized for what makes them special. Big smiles, loud cheers, and feel good moments guaranteed.

Academics

Education all year long!

Camp is a wonderful break from school, classrooms and homework. However, learning and child development do not have to take any days off. Whether we are making model rockets blast off while learning about gravity, aerodynamics, and thrust; using a cooking activity to talk about fractions; or investigating buoyancy with duct-tape boats, we love to introduce educational topics in everything we do.

S.T.E.A.M. Learning

We know how important Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math learning is to today’s students. We know because at our after school programs, we work with students on S.T.E.A.M. concepts throughout the year. Our camp counselors are full time child development professionals that have experience explaining S.T.E.A.M. through dynamic activities and challenges.
