All employees are CPR and First Aid certified. They also undergo fingerprinting and a background check by the Department of Justice, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearance.

DEBBIE RUDMAN
AKA “SPORTY”
Executive Regional Summer Camp Director
Debbie Rudman has been in charge of all school age programs at all Kids Klub centers and camp locations since May 2003. Her dedication to children, her talent for details and planning, and her ability to train and lead staff has helped shape Kids Klub into what it is today. Debbie has been working with children her entire life. Prior to working at Kids Klub, she was the Director of Pali Summer Camp and the Children’s Services Director of the North Valley & Bay Cities JCC. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Child and Family Development with a minor in Recreation from San Diego State University. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking and being under the sun. Her passion for fun and zest for learning shines through in everything she does at Kids Klub.
Stephanie Velasquez
AKA “Smiles”
South Pasadena School Age Site Director
Stephanie has been the coordinator/Assistant Director, and a teacher at South Pasadena for the past 7 years. She has done an incredible job and we are overjoyed to make her the Center Director. Smiles has a Bachelors Degree in Human Development and a minor in Sociology and Early Childhood Development. She is most excited to continue to create an environment for the children to feel comfortable to explore their talents and new interests. “It’s about building confidence in children to help them with the drive to succeed in everything they do.” Stephanie Velasquez loves to hike, learn photography, and loves to Soul Cycle. She especially values time with her family.
Crystal Garcia
AKA “Spidey”
Pasadena School Age Program Director
Crystal started with Kids Klub just about a year ago. She started as the Dragon’s teacher at the South Pasadena location, and then found her place at Pasadena’s Kids Klub as the School Age Coordinator. Spidey has worked with children for 7 years, and has a Bachelors Degree in Child Development.
Crystal Garcia loves to spend time outdoors, specifically at the beach. She also loves to attend sporting events and lift weights. She is excited to continue her work this summer at our camp, and create a fun environment for the Pioneers.
Christian Iglesias
AKA “Squints”
San Gabriel/Rosemead School Age Coordinator
Christian's journey with Kids Klub began five years ago as an assistant
teacher, and he has since worked his way up to teacher/driver. This past summer, he
demonstrated his leadership abilities as the unit head for our third through fifth graders in the
Mountaineer group. Christian's contagious energy, enthusiasm, and loving nature make him an invaluable addition to our after-school program at Kids Klub Pasadena.
Addison Thomas
AKA “Turtle”
South Pasadena Coordinator
Addison started with us as a camper 19 years ago and has been with us ever since! She is now the School Age Assistant Director at our South Pasadena location. She is currently finishing her Bachelors Degree in Sociology, and is so excited to continue her work here for our summer camp. Turtle loves adventure and enjoys spending her time outdoors. She has a passion for animals, and will spend any extra time available with them. Turtle is most excited about giving our kids a great summer, like she had growing up!
Intensive Staff Training
Trainings feature group case studies, conflict resolution, child psychology, interactive games, team-building, and clinics in leading and creating activities. Furthermore, we pull from our years of experience with camp and child development because we want to provide our staff with all the information and practice they need to be the best in the world!
Staff/Camper Ratios
We pride ourselves on having excellent staff and leadership at all times. That's why we maintain a 1/10 Staff to Camper ratio, well below state requirements. Furthermore, our well-trained, attentive, and supportive staff and leadership make campers feel safe and at home at all times!

Angela Wehner
AKA “Pixie”
San Gabriel/Rosemead School Age Porgram Director
Angela Wehner “Pixie” discovered Kids Klub 3 years ago after moving to California from
Michigan where she studied at Western Michigan University and Muskegon Community
College. Pixie has had the pleasure of working with children for the last 25 years in many
different areas of education. In addition to her experience in the classroom, she has enjoyed
directing the children’s ministries at her church including Vacation Bible School Programs
and many Children’s Musicals. Pixie has a true passion for learning with children and
believes that every child is unique and she enjoys being a part of their learning experience.
In her free time Pixie enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and reading… always
looking forward to the next adventure.

They spent the school year leading fun and educational activities as well as assisting students with homework. These counselors roll right into our camp programs with tons of enthusiasm as well as a commitment to providing every camper with the most amazing experiences.
Our well-rounded team of diverse talents and love for children enable us to offer a limitless array of exciting activities in a safe and nurturing environment. Also, all our counselors are high school graduates or older and the majority have a college degree or units in child development.
